I just wanted to write a quick post to say how impressed I am with Windows Movie Maker.

I'm currently using Windows Vista Ultimate (and it freaking r0x0rs) but if any of you out there in internets land are running Windows XP there's a good chance that somewhere in your START menu there will be an application called "Windows Movie Maker". If you same people also own or have access to a video camera I highly recommend checking out WMM as it really is an easy to use full featured video editing tool.

Example in question? The IRO video I posted this morning was created entirely using Windows Movie Maker 6 which ships FREE with Windows Vista (and a very similar version with Windows XP) and whilst I'm by no means an expert in video production or editing I'm very happy with the output and will continue to use WMM as my video editing software of choice.

So props to the Windows Movie Maker team for punching out such a great app. I know there are Mac fans out there that will want to jump on their soap box and tout the virtues of iMovie which I'm sure are justified but as of 4 days ago I was not really aware how good our movie making software was and feel the need to spread the good word.

The End.
